Recital – Lecture
This lunchtime concert features a selection of Baroque-era songs including works by Purcell and Charpentier, performed by the exceptional soprano Clara Orif, an Oxford Song Young Artist and the accomplished harpsichordist, Christopher Bucknall. Choix de Chansons, a luxury songbook by Jean-Benjamin Laborde, will also be explored as part of a focus on musical scores as artworks. This lecture-recital takes place in the Upper Library, the architectural ‘jewel in the crown’ of The Queen’s College, Oxford.
